John Lee, CFA Interim CEO & Executive Chairman

Mr. Lee specializes in mining M&A and has raised over $150 million through the TSX and TSX Venture Exchange for junior companies since 2009.  Lee identified, negotiated and financed Lynn Lake nickel acquisition in 2009, Ulaan Ovoo coal in 2010, Wellgreen  nickel-pgm in 2011, Shakespeare nickel-pgm in 2012, Pulacayo silver in 2015, Gibellini vanadium in 2017, Bisoni vanadium in 2020, and Minago nickel-pgm in 2021. Mr. Lee is a CFA charterholder and graduated from Rice University with bachelor’s degrees in Economics and in Engineering (honor).

Rob Van Drunen Chief Operating Officer

Robert Van Drunen, who is based in Thompson, Manitoba, has over 30 years of experience with Vale and Inco. He started his mining career with Inco in 1990 and progressed through his career with increasing levels of responsibility, including Mine Manager and most recently Senior Project Manager of the Thompson Operation. In the latter role, he led multi- disciplinary teams in all aspects of mining, including operations (both underground and open pit), maintenance, exploration, procurement, supply chain management, and contract management.

Mr. Van Drunen holds a Masters Certificate in Project Management from York University (Schulich School of Business) and the University of Winnipeg. He specializes in process improvement and cost control, as well as having an award winning track record for zero-harm safety culture. Mr.Van Drunen is also the Chief Operating Officer of Silver Elephant Mining Corp.

Andrew Yau CPA, CGA: Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Yau is an accomplished financial executive with diverse merger and acquisition experience in the mining sector complemented with strong international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and public company compliance knowledge. Mr. Yau previously held senior financial positions with several Toronto Stock Exchange- and TSX Venture Exchange-listed companies, most recently as executive vice-president and chief financial officer of Orea Mining Corp.

Mr. Yau, CPA, CGA, holds a bachelor of commerce and business administration degree from the University of British Columbia and has been in accounting and finance roles with publicly listed companies since 2006.

Doug Ramsey M.Sc. Environmental Manager

Doug Ramsey is a Registered Professional Biologist in British Columbia, with four decades of experience in the areas of environmental assessment, permitting, and indigenous consultations in the mining sector. In Manitoba, Mr. Ramsey led the environmental monitoring and permitting at the Tanco mine for 12 years, and acted as the lead Technical Director for the Sherridon orphaned mine site reclamation project.

Over his career, Mr. Ramsey’s practice has included clients such as Inco, Falconbridge, Kinross, Barrick, Spanish Mountain Gold, Environment Canada, and Fisheries and Oceans Canada, as well as numerous First Nations in Manitoba as well as in Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia.

Mr. Ramsey is regularly called upon to present scientific information to indigenous stakeholders and has made presentations on environmental and reclamation issues at various mining conferences.

Peter C. Lightfoot P.Geo PhD: Advisor

During a 20-year career as a geologist with Inco and Vale Dr. Lightfoot was responsible for nickel exploration at Voisey’s Bay, Sudbury and Carajas. Peter was also involved in project generation, evaluation and technical support in Canada, Greenland, Scandinavia, Finland, China, India, Australia, Brazil, Angola, South Africa and the United States.

Dr. Lightfoot is currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of Western Ontario. In 2016, Peter published the first comprehensive textbook on the Ni-Cu-precious metal ore deposits of the Sudbury Igneous Complex. Peter received his B.A. in Earth Sciences from Oxford in 1980, his M.Sc. degree from the University of Toronto in 1982 and his PhD from the Open University (U.K.) in 1985. He completed post-doctoral studies at the University of Toronto and undertook extensive research on the geology and geochemistry of the Noril’sk ore deposits during his tenure as an Adjunct Professor.

Harald Batista Advisor

Based in Brazil and California, Harald Batista is the son of the honorable Eliezer Batista (1924–2018), the founder and former president of CVRD (now Vale). With extensive network and fluency in Portuguese, German, English, and Spanish, Mr. Batista will advise on Flying Nickel’s Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) strategy.

Greg Hall Director

Greg Hall is a Co-Founder of the Company and has been an Independent Director since October 2009. As corporate director of several public companies since 2003, Mr. Hall has been involved in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and investment decisions. Currently Mr. Hall is President and Director of Water Street Assets, Director of CanX CBD Processing and a Member of the Institute of Corporate Directors. Mr. Hall is a graduate of the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, SME Enterprise Board Program, and a Member of the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Masa Igata Director

Mr. Igata has more than 35 years experience working in Asian financial markets. Previously, he was managing director at Nikko Citigroup with a leading role in Japanese equity sales and investor relations. Mr. Igata has been advising and investing in resource companies in Asia in the last 30 years and now focuses in North America as well. Mr. Igata received his graduate of law from Kyoto University and is a member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan.

Jim Rondeau Director

Mr. Rondeau is a Senior Advisor to Norway House Chief and Council for Special Projects. Mr. Rondeau is the President of Systematic Design and Plum Creative, two international award-winning design companies that work around the world. He also serves as vice president of ICMD, a company that provides pharmacy and medical services to First Nation and other clients in Western Canada.

He serves on the National Board of The Canadian Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, Toba Grown Inc. as well as other Non-Profit Boards.

Mr. Rondeau is a former member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba from 1999 to 2016, and served as a cabinet minister from 2003 to 2013. In 2004, Mr. Rondeau was promoted to a full cabinet portfolio as Minister of Industry, Economic Development and Mines. Under Mr. Rondeau’s leadership, Manitoba was recognized as the Best Jurisdiction for Mining in the World by the Fraser Institute. During his tenure 2 new mines were opened and one reopened in Manitoba.He has received the Queen’s Jubilee Award, The Canadian Cancer Society Recognition Award and the Fred Douglas Foundation Award.
